20091223 : Re-covered. Cropped original here, spread below. Last of the pre-canned backgrounds - all future cover work will be new line art and fresh backgrounds.

At this point, all of the background work for the replacement covers is done... but none of the linework. I'll get to that at some point - in the meantime, this will (hopefully) be the last chapter to have some variant of the original cover on display for Some Period Of Time.

Of the remaining covers, I'm most proud of Descent (was five, will be six) and this one. Both were big steps forward in terms of production quality. Pity the cover for Motion sucks so much ass, given its position between the two. That's one of the (many) things that'll be rectified with the second edition.

I was so pleased with the way that the background for Panzer Ruin came out that I decided to rework it in to the cover of Chapter Three. I've changed the angle and reworked the lighting a bit, as well as the "type" on the walls, which fits well with the overall concept and title of the chapter- clarity.

There's still quite a bit to do before I'm ready to start production- getting the title image up now allows me to work with the PR aesthetic some more, get one piece finished, and most importantly get the templates hammered out for chapter three. The site is now at a point where the only major work to be done over the course of the next several months will be uploading pages.
