20091216 - Cropped 1e cover here, spread below.
Again, the first edition cover stands in for the second edition chapter - and will until such time as I get together an actual for-real hardcopy cover... whenever that happens.
Much as I love this image, it's unusable for copyright purposes - that's a hugenormous chunk of NASA STS hardware looming out of the... mist? Haze? Something. If I'd taken the photo it would be a different story, but I didn't - whatever takes the place of this cover will be entirely of my own devising.

Moved 20050608 : Ph33r the circlejerkery of the Chapter covers.
In this case, in order to get everything to work together all nice and proper, I've had to split Chapter One across both the Chapter Zero and the Everything Else blogs. convergence through to the end is As It Was; the new stuff comes in after the last page of Chapter Zero.
In theory, this means Live Updates instead of the backdated mess that's been keeping The Edit off of the front page for awhile now. It also means that the Chapter One cover has jumped a little over two years into the future, date-wise. Which is fine, really, as production dates by this point have little to nothing to do with presentation order and after they slide off of the front page are here more for my benefit than yours.
So. More pages in a few days, after which everything will theoretically straighten itself out.

Edited 20050504 : Cover redone using the original source files. Quite a big difference - and now it has the smeary, high-humidity, semi-Beksinski look I was going for.
Silent Edit, 20050502 : Swapped out the title bar on the original cover for one with Consistent Kerning and changed the title from the clunky An Ordeal of Convergence to Convergence, which fits the one-word theme for scenes and chapters.

Original text (20030525):
ATC has been running for less than two days now, in an official capacity. The Dualist is officially "go". I have both elements of the story plotted, and the first bit of it scripted. The Dualist is a convergance of two plots, one of which is a story that serves to sew together three different aspects of the world I've been building for the greater part of the last decade, the other of which visualizes the laying to rest of an ordeal that tortured me to the point where its resolution has defined my existance.
I've been building worlds since I could think straight. The universe which contains this story is my third, and the most developed. Work on it began in November of 1994, and has been ongoing in some capacity ever since. There have been three major stages of development, with The Dualist covering a bit of the first.
