-I- now seamlessly integrates with incursion -10- to form a transitional splash page like the splattery bits that pepper the rest of the story.

The only major change to this page - aside from the 6x9ing - is the removal of "the dualist" type in the bottom right corner.

Like the incursion 08/09 splash, incursion -10- and signal -1- were produced at full bleed size - fortunately thanks to their construction I can get away with a simple scale-and-crop to produce the 6x9 web pages. The upcoming Torrent Of Splash will require more work - mainly to keep font size consistent.

This entry was created 20050716 and backdated to 20041207 so that it fits into place properly.

While the Chapter covers aren't actually part of the visual representation of The Dualist, -I- and its sister page -II- (which is the first page of Chapter Four) are part of the narrative, and will be present in the final form of the story. They represent an iconic segmentation of the narrative into its first and final halves, and as such are vastly more important than any of the cover images.

They also hip-check the layout, but don't tell anybody. We'll make that our little secret.
