-II-

posted 2009.11.27 at 02:23

20090826 (48) - For whatever reason, the date (number) format didn't hit me until later, after I'd done the processing on this chapter. I left this page alone for quite awhile - initially I'd wanted to match it up to the previous page, which doesn't exist yet... but then I finished pre-formatting everything else, so I figured I'd lock this in so I can move on to New Business with a clear conscience.

That New Business being the previous eight pages, among other things!

20090903 (1) - Finalized, barring further revisions. Given the amount of mucking around I've been doing trying to fit the "Chapter $Number : Name" bits into the narrative, I'm thinking I might have more work in front of me than my initial estimates led me to believe.

-II- opens the Second Half of The Dualist. I still don't know where this point will wind up in terms of page count, but as far as plot goes... you need everything in -I- to have any kind of context for everything that happens in -II-.

I tried several variants on the backgrounds for both Thad and Val, but the Distortion / -I- flavor seems to work the best.

Not only that, but it's the only time you'll see either actually in this environment, as opposed to the facets of Dyluck. W00t and huzzah.

A bit of cognitive dissonance : this is a "right" to the left of suction -15-, which is the last page of Chapter Three. I've gotten quite a bit better at drawing Thad since then, in no small part due to Chapter Zero and quite a bit of Editing seperating the two pages by some seven months.

Chapter Four Scene One is nowhere near ready to go yet - preparation is two thirds complete (outline/draft, cleanup/transcribe) - I still need to do layouts and figure out a page count... at this point, still on target for starting the Chapter (for real) before the end of the month, though I'm starting to get nervous.
