20091221 - Threat made good on. The 6x9 crop is here and the spread is, obviously, below. I like Naomi's "oh shit!" expression (it fits in context) and I'm happy with how Greg turned out. The goths, on the other hand... not so much. It happens - at least this cover actually applies to the story!

I keep threatening (myself, anyway) to replace all of the chapter covers with something that works better. Eventually, I will - probably by chapter four or five. What I have in mind is Work, what's going on now is Re-Work.

Edited 20050508 : I've been wanting to redo this for awhile - in part because it was one of the few 1200x1600 pages; in part because it doesn't reflect the aesthetic of the ATC or relate to the chapter at all. The replacement does, to a point.

I've never had a really strong idea for a Chapter Two cover - in fact, it was the first major page to go through multiple iterations prior to being finalized the first time - so it's no surprise that there were some leftovers the second time around:

 

I was inadvertantly going for something vaguely Steadmanesque, but it just didn't click. Might be why the Zero, One and Three covers look so much better to me - I knew what I wanted for those. :)
