Presently a straight-up crop of the original cover for TD1E Chapter Zero : Signal. I'll replace this with something more appropriate later.

Yes, I said production would start in January. Looks like I kind of lied- I've gone and jumped the gun and have the cover and the first two pages taken care of already. All the easy stuff, mind you- but it gives me a great reason to get the basic debugging of the chapter display taken care of. :)

Chapter Zero continues what I set out to do with Chapter Three and will finish with Chapter Four- namely, get all of the sense-making the fuck over with so I can proceed to Beat People Up.

Boot to the head!

So. Signal is Short and To The Point, doesn't fuck around, and is not entirely self contained. It's designed to make sense in the context of chapters one through three- that is, after it's Done, chapters one through three will make a hell of a lot more sense.

The cover for Clarity was created a full month before production began- I aim to keep the lag time on Signal lower if possible.

This is the second version of the cover. The first looked a lot like the cover to chapter two (at least to me), and was a mirror of the first page of the chapter, which is, in retrospect, a copout. I won't be the least bit surprised if I change it again before I start production, though if I do it'll be along similar lines, as this piece, much like the cover to Clarity, actually has some bearing on the chapter.

20:16 < mdxi> the [original] one fits the overall theme better, but the [current] one is the far better image
20:16 < mdxi> [original] one looks bland and almost washed-out. it's TOO monochromatic.
