Blinged up a bit - The Daedalus has been replaced, its background red-shifted. Greg got cropped a smidge, but not enough to compromise the image. I threw in the front forks of the Sabrosa at the top of panel one on a whim, and I like how it turned out - it adds some sense of position to the transition. It's more screen time for the model, too - the time spent building it back in the day is really starting to pay off!

I'm not too thrilled with the Daedalus retro burn, but hey - it's good for the physics of the moment (Naomi hammering the brakes), and it does add a bit of color to the scene.

Edited 20050525, ATC's 2nd Anniversary (give or take) : Funny how I let the script control me throughout Chapters Two and Three, as opposed to the other way around.

These days I'm much more interested in the story looking good and flowing well than I am in sticking to some halfbacked drunken scribblings that insist on shit like this.

The Big Reasons for editing this page? The new version provides more context than the previous single-panel piece of cop-out, and it affects a much smoother transition into polarity (the first page of which will be redone next, as right now the transition is about as smooth as a kick in the face).

Just how well it transitions remains to be seen. One of the Big Lessons about Chapter Two was the concept of thinking in terms of transitions and page count- odd/even/even/odd, for example, flows extremely well in that you only find yourself facing a serious need for a "transitioning" layout in between chapters, as opposed to in between scenes.

GO LEARNING!

Simple and straight to the point, as per the script.

This ends scene one- scene two will be a bit of time in the future, as I have yet to come up with a solid script for it. My brainmeats always seem to get excruciatingly megasquishy in between actual work on the story, for some reason- hopefully I'll be able to come up with something and get started within two weeks.
