Minor cropping on panels one and two; added some Energy Soup and bendy backgrounds to help with the transition from this page to the next. Positioning and scale insisted on it... which makes me wonder what sort of challenges I'll be having with future pages. Fixed Thad's hat in panel two.

I think it's important to note that Thad does not know how to fight. With anything, especially a stick. One of my biggest gripes about combat in popular media - everybody's an expert. Too many Matrices, not enough They Lives.

Or... something. You get the idea.

Fact is, everything Thad and Ornix know about combat, they learned from movies. Movies like Invasion USA.

Hit this one like a fucking FREIGHT TRAIN. Near zero fucking around - a short break between pencilling and inking; a short break between scanning and flat coloring, and reading volume one of Dave Sim's Church And State during swap. If I hadn't created Thad's room for control -3-, I'd probably still be schlepping around with backgrounds.

Five and a half hours start to finish, about five hours (if that) of real work. Some kind of land speed record.

NOW I can slack for a few hours.

And yes, I still suck at hands. A bit less than last year, fortunately.
