Visual continuity : Added the metal muscle liner thinger to Xand's upper right arm. Offhand, I'm pretty sure this is the only panel it was missing from.

Visual upgrade : Raven's handheld is no longer a white mess of emoticons and whatnot. It's been prettied up on this page, and for the rest of the scene. All in all, things are about as clean as they can get without major reconstructive surgery - I spent a lot of time on the bottom area of the arm (panel... three? Two? Depends on how you look at it) instead of the top, did the usual patch/scrub on the other bits, and spent a lot more time on it than I'd expected to. As usual.

Display of the gun and blades are kind of a red herring for The Dualist - the blades are used in the first chapter of Transitional Voices. The gun will pop up again... later. Much, much later.

===================================================

There'll be diaglogue soon. I promise. In the meantime, there's more of the usual newspost bitching. :D

Late update due to ultra hangover induced slack fu. Considering how much I dislike people, especially in groups and even more especially drunk, I'm bemused as to the amount of time I spend in bars. The women I meet are boring as hell or don't grok my personality (same thing, ultimately). The hangovers fucking blow. The relaxation is nice, as it's the only fucking time I ever get any.

It's July 4th. Last I checked, that's a USA holiday thing. I finished and uploaded ATC pages on my birthday and on solstice as well, so it's no surprise it's seven in the morning and I'm writing this. I'm already falling behind- a holiday boils down to nothing more than loss of pay and anything I might need to do being closed at inconvenient times.... and a hell of a lot of noise and assholes wherever I might happen to go. I'd rather work on the comic, thanks. People in large groups make my head explode. Large groups, generally, being numbers of two or higher.

So. Twelve hours of taking my sweetass time and watching Robotech and session one of Cowboy Bebop. Why I picked "english" for language preferences, I'll never know.

I hope to hell I can get another page up this week- or at least into Photoshop before 12:01am Sunday. I'll probably have to be mean to somebody in order to accomplish this. I've already been propositioned for Saturday - the false assumption on the part of people I know that I (1) have free time and (2) would spend it doing something that's not trying to relax never ceases to amuse me.

Anyway.

Enough bitching. Page notes:

I'm happy with this one. Happy fun experimental layouts, I like the way the shading turned out.... and if you can't figure out what the deal is with the upper right panel, remember back to the halcyon days of page five, in which it was revealed that all three hangars have skylights... through which lunar light, in this case, is merrily filtering. I like it. Overall, things are moving in the right direction.

You'd be surprised how much harder it is to do a page layout without dialogue- each of the last three pages have gone through between three and ten layouts, and page 16 kept changing right up until I started pasting things into photoshop.

Sequential art rocks my face. It just so happens that creating it is a perfect tactical foil for filtering undesireable elements of my social life. w00t!

Enough page notes.

I'll be back to the plot parts that have words that come out of peoples mouths soon. Probably next page. Promise.
