Gate was distortion in the first edition. This fits with the rename of the first Val scene to Cage. The next one will probably be renamed to Guide or Zoo, to round out the Front 242 reference.

Massive corrections - moved the right arm up to make the (unseen) upper arm more or less the right length, worked on the shading around the mouth, tweaked the lighting on the right side of the face, neck, and shoulder. As usual, everything reasonable short of a redraw.

Page Done 20050505 and backdated to 20030715 so it fits into place properly. This is a "right" page, with convergence -21- being a "left". It also proceeds directly from animal -6-. It's nice to be able to work on a single plot thread in sequence as opposed to waiting several months between installements. :)

Later : Man, I dunno what I was smoking but the anatomy on this is jacked. Probably has something to do with the fact I was workin' the page under the influence of some pretty severe complaints from my back... which has resulted in some sort of Peg Bundy Ultimate Leifeld Warrior sort of.... thing. Some kind of double-plus gay I'm glad to be getting out of my system here, in the middle of the "badlands" - nothing but crap for twenty pages in either direction...

So, yeah. Seemed decent at the time and I'm happy with the energy effects but it hasn't aged well, where "aged" is all of five hours. :)

20050506 : Minor corrections and adjustments. It looks quite a bit better now... but it's still not going to win any awards, obviously.
