This is a prime example of an Avoidant Layout, if ever there was. Most of the scene is, really. Comes with the territory.

Page Done 20050507 and backdated to 20030715 so it fits properly.

Not one of my better pages, but not total ass, I think. In my defense, Dyluck and Xand length hair is a huge pain in the arse to get inked... and I've been bleh all day - probably something to do with waking up at seven this morning and getting to do it again tomorrow. All work and no play makes Jack a very pissy boy - and Jack doesn't get to play this weekend. :|

Bad anatomy in panel one; bad expression in panel four. Feels like old times, or something.

On the upside, comic! If you count the redux of the Chapter One cover, this is my fifth complete page this week (disortion -1-, convergence -21-, convergence cover, velocity -6- and this) \o/.

This page - and the redux of delerium as distortion - plugs a slight continuity gap: Dyluck's hair being suddenly quite a bit shorter in Chapter Three. One of those little details I .... overlooked. Yeah, overlooked. That's it.

Amazing what a couple of additional "c" layers of shading and some wacom work can do, isn't it? It's not a hundred percent consistent with the flow of the visuals, but it nicely solves the problem of SHADED NOSE OTHERWISE BLOWN OUT FACE which was really, really pissing me off.
