I'm not all that happy with the results, but this one's a pain any way you cut it... ultimately, I'm happy I was able to cut the awful mouth shot out of the final composition. I'm also happy that this is one of the few scenes that willfully ignores my otherwise rigidly enforced gutters - I can't imagine getting Exact with these kinds of borders!

20070721 : Scaled and tweaked slightly.

Edited 20050429 : Replaced the single fishnet pattern layer with hand-drawn fishnets for all three panels they're in - you'll notice that while the quality isn't awesome, there's definite contour. It's all about the contour.

The mouth shot, on the other hand, is almost as bad as the spate of eyeballs running around the comic. But since it's a mouth, I feel no strong compulsion to replace it with something better.

Just in time for solstice. Woop.

In other news, bumped into my friend Jason (who had moved to Detroit and who was also, in the summer of 2002, known locally as Pimp Hat Jason) during the assembly process, which was interesting.

Not much else to report : three pages left in this section, and the page would have probably turned out differently if I'd packed my tablet, as opposed to just the stylus and adapter. I'm glad I forgot it, really- I like the thing as it is.

Time to go shower and get to the party.
