Layout version three. Song lyrics removed, Thad scaled down a bit (spurring the correction on the previous page), added an earth shot. You can't really tell, but that's an upside-down North America, early in the morning. This dovetails nicely with the composition of the top shot.

Edited 20050607 : Used all of the original backgrounds, line work and shading, reworked with some scaling and tweaking and so forth. I've never been fond of the way I ended polarity the first time around, and was even less fond of it after the first page of velocity was produced and I started seriously paying attention to scene flow and layouts - this page was one fuck of a trainwreck. Now, in combination with the Edit of velocity -1-, everything is spiffy and keen.

Original post:

The last page of polarity. How things will flow between now and the start of the third sequence of chapter two will be detailed in the News. If this is your first visit to ATC in a couple of days (or hours), you may have missed the previous page- if you did, you'll need it for context.

This is the second page of the day- two pages from script to completely polished and online in under 24 hours. The fact that this page is a single frame certainly helped, as did my self-set deadline of "before January, dammit", and the fact I'm going to be spending the 26th through who knows when editing a short film.

Some notes:

The positiioning of the body mimics that of the Paraclete intentionally- re: the Descent Into The Inferior Realms (the actual Paraclete image is upside down, nails through hands, or at least the reference image I have access to).

The spread of the hair ties to polarity 5, which was a bit of foreshadowing in the form of a flashback- something I realized the story needed, even though it comes at the expense of breaking up the flow of the current chapter segment.

The color scheme and size of the bathroom are based on my own, which does have nasty green and white tiles. The house itself has red hardwood floors and red trim. Call it seasonal.

So. That's polarity. The next segment should tie together the second chapter. At present, no ETA and no pagecount estimates.

Have a pleasant interval.
