New panel at the top; second panel reworked into something wider so everything down below fits. A funny fact about the reformat - while the amount of space gained from the move to 6:9 is significant, it isn't really enough to squeeze in a flat-out filler panel when one is called for. In this case, the bottom three panels had to fit Exactly, and keeping the panel with the {heart|brain} monitor would have meant either scaling it up or living with a hueg-like-xbox amount of black somewhere on the page. So it got shrunk and an establishing shot of the Psyobs exterior got tossed in.

This is a good thing. If you've read the first edition, you're finally seeing around the corner.

An upside of over-modelling the early environments - plenty of bits to show off, with no additional work!

From a technical and continuity standpoint... I just can't mentally wrap my head around the time zones. It's Near Dawn in Australia and Early Evening at Bedlam (3am + 14 == 5pm EST) at present. The Daedalus leaves around six am local time (8pm EST) and somehow takes about 12 hours to get to Bedlam... meaning a relative velocity of something like 800 miles an hour. Brisbane to NYC is 9,637 the short way, so that math makes a kind of sense, though it isn't taking into account things like the planet's own rotational speed, etceteras. This is about the only time in the ENTIRE STORY in which time zones become a problem - if it was a persistent issue, you can bet I'd spend the time required to learn the math I'd need to know to make this scientifically accurate instead of Vaguely Plot Feasible.

Remember that phone call Raven took during briefing? Yeah? Well, that wasn't an out-of-my ass spacefiller. You're reading the other, longer half of it in the early part of this scene.

Stylistically, this scene is split into three sub components, each with its own look and feel, flowing (more or less) 4/6/4. Production-wise, the objective is to get this done before December is out, and hopefully start on the Chapter Zero script and some basic edits before the year is out.

Oh, and I still can't draw hands. :P
