Woot. Seventeen pages in just a hair over six weeks. I'm not as pleased with this one as I am with the previous page, but in my defense I've been fighting a bitch of a hangover that's been progressively getting worse throughout the day. I love my health- anything that makes me feel good or allows me to relax either leaves me feeling like shit for days or causes allergic reactions analagous to the Death Blossom.
Given the option of feeling miserable for the whole night, going out and feeling three to six times shittier tomorrow, and feeling miserable for the whole night and actually getting something done, I chose the latter- a decision that was not without its drawbacks. Namely, the decision to use a 005 to ink tantek and a 01 (microns) to ink Raven- which is why Tantek doesn't exactly hold up to close examination, while Raven does, for the most part.
I had to spend about thirty minutes moving the layout around- this is the first page of the chapter that's been seriously reworked "in flight", as opposed to on the launch pad. The end result is actually really really close to the original layout, fortunately- the original spread had the second elevator ding on the lower right, and Tantek's second appearance would have been cut off right at the pecs, which I found to be unacceptable.
So yeah. Some issues, but I'm quite pleased with parts of it, specifically Raven's appearance in the bottom panel.
And yes, I'm all about the boobies throughout this scene. I know it's a bit over the top, but hey. Visual continuity with chapter one, or something. :)
