Banter upgrade! More natural, less forced.

Also, a marked lack of tails on the word balloons. Can you imagine what a mess that would be, wiring up twenty lines of dialogue? It's a damned good thing that Tantek has one of those Big Deep Vin Diesel Voices, or the conversation would be pretty hard to follow.

Fun fact : Unlike pretty much every scene prior to this one, this page and the last two have been reformatted in a manner similar to the old production style - lay it down, do the dialogue, clean it up. One page at a time. Most of the other scenes have been mass produced - pre-format several pages, assemble several pages, spend forever on cleanup and adjustments, then dialogue, then spit-shining. Several pages in the air at any one time, and it made laying down the dialogue a real pain in the ass.

Reverting to form certainly has its advantages - three pages pretty much completely Done in one night, instead of parts of all four pages of the scene.

Hell, if I could maintain three a day, this thing would be done in two months!

Perish the thought!

20070729 : Reworked the dialogue. The old version is here.

Edited 20050614 : Just noticed Raven's communicator had the antennae and card slot reversed on this AND the previous page. All better now.

Man, the top two backgrounds were Time Consuming. The linework isn't top grade- breaking in new microns is always a slightly twitchy business, and Tantek is extremely detailed compared to, well... everyone else in the story. One of these days I'll get the lenses right, which'll probably be the same scene he switches helmets. :)

Also, My First Night Shot. :D

Oh, and the earpieces on Tantek's helmet aren't pushbuttons. Honest. The interface with the armor remaps his pinky fingers to specific armor-related and communications control functions. Some of these functions are accessed through gestures (typically involving contact with another sensor plate in a specific pattern)- in this case, curling the pinky, extending the index and placing them in the depicted position reopens certain communications capabilities in the rabbit ears. Conversely, Raven's hiptop is useable in a less quirky fashion.

22:00 <@ejp> solios: wow, ATC looks like ass at 2.2
22:00 * ejp forgot Bes was at 1.8
22:55 <@solios> ejp: I know. :|
22:57 <@solios> ejp: recent ATC or ATC in general?
22:58 <@ejp> the recent one
22:59 <@solios> shit yes.
22:59 <@solios> I saw it on a windows screen and almost puked.
22:59 <@ejp> in fact, when it came up on ra (2.2) was I like "huh, is that a new one?"
22:59 <@solios> second one isn't going to be any better.
22:59 <@ejp> then I read the text.
22:59 <@solios> but then it's done with that bit.
