subversion -1-

20090814 (20) - Raised one and two in order to fit the rest. Probably could have done it just as easily with three and four, but I figured I'd go with the panels-overlapping-bodies bits instead.

20090911 (1) - Lettered.

And we are go. We would have been go on Saturday, but my ass is being brutally raped by a cold that refuses to go away. We're talking intermittent low-grade fever, head congestion of DOOM, and one of those itchy, occasional coughs that made inking this page quite a bit more adventurous than it should have been.

Picking up right where Impact left off, Subversion is one big 38 page scene (that could be broken into smaller ones, but doesn't need to be), and should be finished before the end of the year. My current best estimate is October or November, though I still have one environment to model and consequently have no idea how long those panels will take to render.... and I have no idea if or when my health will decide to get in my face again. And then there's the occasional ninja monkeywrench that leaps out of nowhere.

That last line is a setup for the next paragraph.

I'll be doing Con Recon at the Pittsburgh Comicon on Friday (the 27th). Hopefully I'll have ATC bizcards by then. I've never been to a non-Pumpcon con, so I don't really know what to expect. This will be a Sneak And Peak, nothing more. I'll post a News thinger with more details sometime between now and Thursday.

So, Chapter Seven. Hopefully bookended by cons, local and otherwise. GO!

20:24 <@ejp> oh god, the horrible joke.
20:25 < solios> hence West's reaction.*

20:30 < necKro> thadbrain is conspicuously absent.
20:33 <@solios> I shot well above his corpse. The pose dummy was in all of the shots.
20:34 <@solios> thad's leftovers will only show up as a cinematic device for the next 20+ pages.
20:34 < necKro> you should have put some of it on the wall.
20:35 <@solios> I thought about it.
20:35 <@solios> but logistically, for that to happen, then ornix would have bits on him.
20:36 <@solios> what happened inside his head when the bullet hit (why what you see is what happened) is explained in some detail in Book Four.

* Yes, it's the second time I've used it in The Dualist, and the third time I've used it in a comic (Wang Labs, anyone?). This is the last time, I promise.
